Arup Ganguly is a PhD candidate in finance at Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh. Arup’s primary research interests are in empirical corporate finance, specifically in three main areas: (1) Information transmission in financial markets, (2) Private equity and, (3) Law and finance. Arup has taught several finance courses at Katz Graduate School of Businessand Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, both at the undergraduate and the MBA levels, winning teaching awards from the Deans of both these business schools, for excellence in teaching. Prior to coming to Katz, Arup worked as an associate at Scotia Capital, Inc., an investment bank in Canada and he received a Master of Finance degree from the University of Toronto, where he graduated as the class valedictorian.
