Gert is a senior consultant data analytics at Deloitte Belgium, a co-organiser of Data Science Ghent community and a speaker on numerous occasions, including TEDx. He is also an invited lecturer on python and data analytics at Toulouse School of Economics, IAE school of management and University of Namur. Gert holds a PhD on Astrophysics where he worked on artificial intelligence software to automatically construct 3D models of galaxies from 2D observations.

As data scientists, we often spend a long time optimizing and endlessly trying to refine our models. All too often, this ends up in neglecting what may be the most important selection criterion: acceptance by the end user.
