Bill Harvey began as a media research analyst at Grey Advertising in NY and then Manager of the Applied Sciences Division at Interpublic. Harvey’s early career was focused on building media optimizers. He joined Arbitron where he invented new report formats for all TV and radio reports which became industry standards to this day. His company Next Century Media was the first to collect TV set top box data to research grade, introduced addressable commercials, and a data-driven program recommender for viewers. His company TRA now TiVo Research holds four issued US patents in which Harvey is first named inventor.
