Business Intelligence and Disruptive Technologies – Fact or Fiction
Presenter: Clive Holtham, Cass Business School, City University London
Time: 23 March , 12:00 GMT
There has been a huge amount of hype over the last decade both about technology and knowledge. Some of the claims are greatly inflated, in fact they border on fiction.
Equally many are valid, at least in part. The aim of this webinar is to stimulate discussion about the boundaries between fact and fiction, both today and over the next decade.
The webinar aims to be interactive, taking on board and developing points raised by participants. It will not be just a powerpoint with a voice over.
Clive trained as an accountant and was Young Accountant of the Year in 1976 and spent six years as a Director of Finance and IT before moving to the Business School.
His research is into management learning and into the strategic exploitation of information systems. He is a UK National Teaching Fellow. Last year, he was awarded the Cass Business School prize for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, and the City University Student Voice prize for research supervision.
He is Director of the Cass Learning Laboratory, which researches and develops innovative teaching and learning methods. He was a founding member of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, the City of London’s 100th livery company.
